Hip-Hop History
Why JLE Academy?
JLE Academy is a discussion-based curriculum that examines the history and complexity of Hip-Hop culture, its diversity, and role in social justice efforts around the world.

Preserving Legacy
The first ever Hip-Hop party was hosted by DJ Kool Herc in the Bronx, NY at 1520 Sedgwick Ave. as a “Back to School Jam”.
The “JLE Academy” workshops were created to continue the long-standing connection between Hip-Hop and education!
